ASPEN CARES

The ASPEN CARES Fashion Show is a high-energy, theatrical extravaganza raising awareness for Mental Health and benefiting the Aspen local non-profit HeadQuarters. Founded in Aspen by Ramona Bruland and Katy Parnello in 2011, the Aspen Cares Fashion Show weaves fashion, dance, movement, music and story into a seamless choreographed performance. Donated fashions from high-end designers such as Libertine and Valentino to streetwear lines such as Moncler and Aviator Nation are used as costuming for the models, dancers, and actors as they communicate the struggles and successes of working on one's mental health all the while showcasing on trend fashions.

BENEFICIARY

HEADQUARTERS

HeadQuarters engages, educates, and empowers people to build and enjoy Mental Fitness—paving the way for a healthy, vibrant community. Mental Fitness is the purposeful practice of taking care of our mind. Through this, we gain the tools and skills to cope with everyday stressors, creating the resiliency to thrive.

Early intervention is the most effective way to prevent mental health fatalities like suicides. HeadQuarters aims to change the crisis care system we live in by shifting the focus to long-term preventive mental health. By connecting community members to the right preventative resources and support, HeadQuarters equips them with actionable tools to live and thrive, with resilience.

By focussing on the four quarters of Mental Fitness; social, emotional, physical and financial and highlighting the positive associations with mental health and wellbeing HeadQuarters empowers and supports community members on their wellness journey.
